The campus of the Central University of Punjab provides the students and other members with an ideal, peaceful and secure environment for educational pursuits. It has an individual administrative block and will have water and electricity supply very soon. The academic section will be outfitted with excellent laboratories, library, seminar halls, computer labs, research laboratories, faculty rooms, etc. There will also be residential areas for the faculty members and other staff, located within this Central University campus.
The University, which is an important link in the list of new Central Universities being established recently, has been set up in such an area where the backward classes also have the opportunity to seek higher education. It will also develop itself as an “environment friendly green university”. This university of higher education is destined to appear as an excellent provider of teaching, research, skills, knowledge, ethics etc. It has already started its 1st academic year in 2009.
